CATHOLIC THROUGH THE RCIA

IS GOD CALLING YOU TO HELP PEOPLE WITH THE PROCESS?

R.C.I.A. is the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and is the primary way in which people join the Catholic Church after childhood. It also offers an opportunity for any adults who have not received Confirmation or other Sacraments, after Baptism, to do so.

Diverse talents are needed to welcome and teach folks who inquire about the faith and seek membership in our community.  Before we begin our process this fall, which will conclude with the reception of the Sacraments of initiation at the Easter Vigil in 2016, we need to form an RCIA  team.  Even if you haven’t previously served on an RCIA Team, if the Spirit is moving you, consider volunteering this year!

We will need:  Catechists, a Sponsor Coordinator, Sponsors, Hospitality, a Retreat Coordinator, Small Group Facilitators, and others.

An informational session will be held for all those interested in helping with RCIA on SATURDAY, JUNE 27TH 2015 AT 10:30 A.M. in the Parish House.  Please contact Deacon John at 707-479-5424 or jstorm@srdiocese.org for more information, answers to questions about RCIA or to let him know you will attend the initial Team orientation.
