The Golden Rule
Most of us have heard what is called the ‘Golden Rule for Living’.
That is, ‘Do unto others as you would have others do unto you’.
So I offer you a practical application of the ‘Golden Rule’.
Here is today’s version:
If you open it, close it.
If you turn it on, turn it off.
If you unlock it, lock it up.
If you break it, admit it.
If you can’t fix it, call in someone who can.
If you borrow it, return it.
If you value it, take care of it.
If you make a mess, clean it up.
If you move it, put it back.
If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it.
If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone.
If it’s none of your business, don’t ask questions.
Is this an over-simplification? Of course it is. But…imagine if everyone in your household
followed what I just said. Or all your friends, or everyone at school or work. Or even just
-What a different place our world would be.
-For that matter – what a different place our world CAN be…
