SOCIAL JUSTICE COMMITTEE IS CONDUCTING A TOILETRIES DRIVE

toiletries

This drive is for the “REACH” Program for the Boys and Girls Club to help the youth released from Juvenile Hall.  Many of these children do not have suitable homes to which they can return.  They may be homeless or spend the night with friends and are not given any personal items upon release.

They are asking for a number of small “Care Packages” filled with basic toiletries to be given to the boys and girls when they are released—toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, razors, body wash, hairspray, face soap, deodorant, lotion, q-tips, tampons, pads

Do you have soap, shampoos, etc from hotels? Could you pick up a few travel size items mentioned above when you are at the store?  Please put your donations in the Social Justice Committee collection box in the back of the church. We will keep it there at least until the end of summer.

Thank you so much for your support now and for our past Book Drive. We collected over 600 books for the Juvenile Hall Library!
