Mission Statement: The Holy Spirit Men’s Club is, primarily, a SOCIAL organization,
which promotes fellowship and outreach to Christian men of
the parish and the community at large.
Meetings: Our general meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month at Holy
Spirit Hall beginning in October and ending in June. If you would like to become a

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE:
Holy Spirit Men’s Club
The Holy Spirit Men’s Club (H.S.M.C.) was founded in 1964, presided over
by our first president Jim Bryn, to be part of the Holy Spirit Parish Community. The
H.S.M.C. is primarily a social organization, which promotes fellowship and
outreach to Christian men of the parish and the community at large. Open for all
men to attend, we offer a monthly dinner and meeting in our parish hall during
the months of October to May. Our gatherings include great food prepared by the
legendary Holy Spirit Cooks, comradery among friends, and lots of good fun. The
schedule includes a Octoberfest dinner, a Thanksgiving Meal, a corned beef and
cabbage meal for Saint Pat’s Day . In December, we have a Christmas sing- a- long
where we raise our “angelic” caroling voices over a prime rib dinner. We parish
theme dinners, such as last year’s Parish polenta dinner and a “Religious Rib”
dinner to raise our community spirit. Our community action includes working to
meet the needs of Holy Spirit Parish, a free parish Holy Mostaccioli dinner,
sponsoring local Boy Scout Troop, and helping in the community as needed.
The history of the club extends back to the early days when we catered
dinners and events for the American Cutting Horse Association. Packing up the
pots and pans, it was common for the Holy Spirit Men’s Club cooks to travel
throughout the county serving meals at horse events. Today the horse industry
has moved on, and we concentrate on current local projects. Over the years the
H.S.M.C. meals have included Holy Hot Cakes, Religious Ribs, and Passionate
Polenta to name just a few. This group of men reflects the community that is
uniquely Holy Spirit Parish. Cemented in part by Cursillo ethics, our goal is to be
welcoming to all, to pay forward by service, to give back to our community and,
most of all, to develop friendships that extend well beyond the doors of our
parish church.
At Holy Spirit Men’s Club everyone is welcome to come and join us for fun,
food, laughter and song. So please, our community is open to you. Come sit at our
table as we begin our new year in October 2025. The legacy that the early
founders left, lives on today, and we are honored to lead this group of fine men as
we see the face of Christ in theirs, laughing as Christ would laugh, enjoying life,
and enjoying the community that makes Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Spirit Strong!
