The Blessed Virgin Mary, our mother calls each one of us to be an example to our church, our family, our community and the world. The mission of the Holy Spirit Women’s Club is to unite women of our parish and all Christian women in our community by providing opportunities for spiritual growth, leadership and service.

The General (Event) meetings are held the second Thursday of the month at the Church Hall, at 6:00 pm from September through May. The only two exceptions are in March and April.

We do not have a March dinner event as the Men’s Club hosts a St. Patrick’s Dinner for the parish.

In April is the “Victorian Tea”, which is our main fundraiser, it is held on a Saturday. The “Victorian Tea” is hosted by the ladies in our parish and community. We have a total of 17 tables all decorated beautifully by each hostess, wonderful raffle prizes, traditional tea sandwiches, deserts, tea and champagne.

There is no General Events in June, July or August as we break for the summer.

Our Women’s club is very active in supporting our church and community. Starting, in October we have a “Collection of Toiletries”, in November a “Canned & Dry Food Drive Thru”, in December a “Toy Donation Drive Thru”, in January “Blessed Mother Baby Shower” (collection of new baby clothes from Preemie to 2 years) and in February a “Sock Drive” (collection of new socks for children and adults for the homeless). These donations go to Redwood Food Bank, Catholic Charities, Valley of the Moon Children’s Center and other nonprofits where needed.

For any further questions please feel free to contact Kathleen Freitag.

Blessings,
Kathleen Freitag,
President
